Timely Filing
Timely filing is when an insurance company restricts the number of days in which you can submit a claim. Each payer will set their own timely filing. For example, if Aetna has a 90-day timely filing requirement, you must submit the claim within 90 days of the date of service.
To configure the timely filing and timely filing appeals settings:
-
Click Payers on the navigation bar.
-
Find the payer on the list and then click the payer name.
-
Timely filing can be set on both the Policies and Benefits tabs.
